A senior program manager in science anticipation at GESDA and an emerging technology ethics lecturer at the EPFL, Manuel Gustavo helps transform global challenges into future-shaping opportunities. With a PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, his research has been funded by prestigious fellowships from major research agencies, published in top academic journals, presented at distinguished conferences worldwide, and translated for impact into many practitioner workshops, public science lectures, and scientific consultancies.

He is a member of the International Science Council’s Global Roster of Experts and currently serves as a global expert in the Earth Institute’s AI Ethics Task Force at Columbia University and a research group member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy.
